The Victoria Police Pistol Club Inc. was formed in 1958 when a number of police officers got together to promote target pistol shooting as a sport. In the years since then the club has had a number of home ranges.
Over a number of years the members of the club have invested money with the intent of building a permanent home range. This has now come to reality in Carrum Downs.
The first stage of our range has been completed. The approval from LSD was signed off on the 30th of October 2008.
The Club hosted the Australian Police & Services Pistol Championship on our newly approved range over the weekend of the 8th & 9th of November 2008. The barricades for this event were erected on the 6th of November. Time lines were very short.
As of the 1st of Jan 2009 this is our permanent home range.
Further development of the range will take place in the future to provide improved facilities for our membership.
